Land of the Free

Dan Brown has this mysterious way of captivating people to finish his books. I'm currently reading Angels and Demons. Although the facts are total bollocks, I'm still so intrigued by the way he writes. He is definitely one talented story teller.
Well...It has been already a week since i've returned from Thailand. It hit me again that Thailand is definitely a beautiful place filled with wonderful and kind people. It was a joy to go to and spend 10 days relaxing not thinking about things which clouded my mind previously.
I have a lot of photos and even more stories but its always easier telling them with pictures. I do not recommend Red Bull in Thailand. It doesn't work and tastes nothing like it does here. Makes your tongue feeling fury.
I went with one of my high school buddies Rat. His real name is Simon but we forgot his real name in year 7. He acquired some other nicknames while he was in Thailand which included:
Chomp- he has a way of eating food taking the biggest bites possible.
Osama Bin Rat- he has a habit of speaking Arabic during his sleep.
Master Diver- A feel that rat has is of water. He overcame this fear snorkelling in Thailand and hence became the master Diver.

Tiger Beer has now lost its prominence in Thailand. Beer Chang and Singha Beer are now the favourites. Rat wanted to satisfy his desires to taste every beer that Thailand had to offer. This is Rat's last beer in Thailand just before we boarded our flight to Sydney.

This is the first hotel that we stayed in Thailand. An adjective that was used extensively throughout our trip was 'gloomy'. Everything was 'gloomy'.

This is a picture of Phi Phi. THis was the last island that we visited in Thailand. Although we could not spend too much time here, it was definitely weird to see those huge rock monuments come out of nowhere.

Faithful Burger King. I think that Burger King has the contract to supply each airport in Thailand. The two airports we visited all had Burger King. We chowed down 'Australian' beef at Phuket Airport. Tina was 'never' hungry but always ate on the other hand, Hannah was never hungry and never ate...literally.

You know when you are driving a little too quickly and you pack it because you see a car that looks remotely like a taxi but you ain't sure? Well in Thailand you will never have the problem because taxis are damn bright like our pink taxi. Rat looks bamboozled by the colour but secretly he enjoys it.

No it ain't mould and human hair. Its actually a fried noodle dish that we had. Rat and i were wandering the streets of Thailand trying to decide what to eat. Solution was simple. We found the restaurant with the most people in it and ordered the food that people next to us were eating. It was tasty but we ended up with painful toilet experiences after from the chilli.
Classic imitation Asian Style. There are many brands that have difficultly surviving in Thailand. These include Polo, Diesel and Von Dutch. So many people are wearing these labels but it didn't take us long to figure out that they weren't real. However in a department store we did find this brand. I wonder if they actually knew about Burberry or in Aaron Kim's case 'blueberry'.

One of the days we spent at Tomasat University, one of the best uni's in Thailand. We had Stung's sister take us around. We came to this place where we started feeding some of the birds popcorn seeds. It was pretty frightening because this birds came mighty close to the seeds.
I have more photos to show and more stories to tell but I have work tomorrow and sleep to catch up on. Cheers all.
