nerves kick in

I am 1 day away from knowing if I will continue to be a candidate for this Hilton Elevator program. Its strange because I usually am not too nervous about presentations. But this one is definitely different and nerves are starting to kick in.

Thank you to everyone for all your luck and prayers. Its something which I feel very advantageous because of. Well my interview is at 11:30am so if you remember, please lift up a short prayer for me!

Thanks everyone.
Peace

P.S. Congratulations to SHermann for completing his studies at Hillsong aka HSBC. Man..one year has definitely gone quickly. Although this photo was taken after his graduation at UTS, I think this is a fitting photo. All the best for your future and continue to go gun-ho for God. God bless!

Even closer

Today as I walked into Subway, tempted by all the 'less than 6g of Fat subs', I had no idea that it would be an exciting experience.
As I edged closer toward the sub, I was just about today when I got a phone call.
It was one that I would either be dreading or cheering over.

The lady on the other line says in a half monotone voice,
Lady: David. This is Sydney Hilton. You have made it to the next stage of the elevator program.
Me: Silence
Lady: David! Please read the email that i have sent and we will be seeing you next wednesday.
Me: Silence
Lady: Thanks then. Bye
Me: (In a whimper)....Have a nice day. See you then. Bye.

This experience has totally been humbling. I had no idea that I would be chosen from all over Asia and the Middle East to be in the top 10 candidates. I'm praying that God will guide me in all the directions and in all things, prayerfully be obedient. I just want to thank everyone that has been praying for me and that you continue to do so for me. I need it!

The day is old and i'm stinking tired. What a day! So Paris and Nikki, get ready because the Kwagmeister is coming.

R.I.P.

Currently listening
Josh Groban- To where you are

Who can say for certain
Maybe you're still here
I feel you all around me
Your memory's so clear

Deep in the stillness
I can hear you speak
You're still an inspiration
Can it be

That you are my
Forever love
And you are watching over me
From up above

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

Are you gently sleeping
Here inside my dream
And isn't faith believing
All power can't be seen

As my heart holds you
Just one beat away
I cherish all you gave me
Everyday

'Cause you are my
Forever love
Watching me
From up above

And I believe
That angels breathe
And that love will live on
And never leave

Fly me up to where you are
Beyond the distant star
I wish upon tonight
To see you smile
If only for awhile
To know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

I know you're there
A breath away's not far
To where you are

A man whose voice does not match the face....

My dog passed away from unforeseeable circumstances which is a real shame. I'm sad but I guess I never got to have him too long as a pet. Doggy Kwag RIP. I'll be getting his brother though...A brown one so that will be hopefully coming next week.

Chesterfield on learning..

"If you should sometimes think your application to books a little laborious, consider that labour is the unavoidable fatigue of a necessary journey."

Now does that quote make you study harder? Not me...but I think it may encourage people to study that little harder.

My friend's wedding.

Congratulations Sheila and Phil on your marriage.

Finally you guys are married. It has been a long time coming but I'm sure it has been worth the wait. May God continue to bless your marriage and really be the focus of the rest of your lives.

Outdoor wedding. Thankfully the wedding held up ok.

The wedding was seriously fun. I had no idea what was going on in the actual wedding because the celebrant was Korean and i couldn't hear him. I sat back and talked with Ross who also had no idea what was going on because he's Italiano.
Ross and me. He is Pauline's boyfriend. Fantastic bloke.

The reception hall at Curzon Hall was really elegant and simple.

This is my table. I was put on the table with all of Sheila's cousins. Dang..her family is huge...as in lots of them...not physical side.

Family photo with Phil, Sheila, Pauline and her mum.

At the reception, there were so many waiters going around like crazy. Trying to feed 250 hungry Koreans is a difficult task. Admist the chaos of the food being served, one waiter served me and I stood stiff. Not because he was over good looking or any homosexual thoughts but the fact that he was a striking image of Prince Harry. He doesn't look it when he's smiling but when he's got a straight face, many people were fooled. I took a photo with Royalty..HA!

This is Sheila. The lucky bride of the day. She was looking really pretty in her wedding dress but I wasn't fast enough to get a picture with her in it. Instead I had to be content with han-bok. She still looked beautiful. Man...I'm either Wonza black or she's tofu white.

The wedding reception ended with many fun moments including the speech by the groom's best man where he publicy humilated the poor bloke. My best men better run their speeches before me. I don't want to be shocked as Phil was. We ended up at the Shangri-La hotel in the city, winding down and sharing the true stories about Phil and Sheila. Much love!

When i look over Sheila and Phil's marriage, I'm sure that it was something that was orchestrated by God in his perfect timing. The truth behind 1 Corinthians 13:4-8a never ceases to amaze me and challenge me to discover what true love is. I pray this verse would be one in which Sheila and Phil both treasure and live out each and every day of their lives.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Dude where's my car?

Seriously..i want my humble car back.
I've had enough of this stinkin white car. Hurry and please fix my car please!

Anyways here are some random photos I took one day at the beach..

Bondi Beach during the day is awesome. Although there were some clouds, it was enough for the sun to sneak out and offer nice warmth.

I'm not sure what we were laughing about but I was completely floored..

I would prefer driving this car than my Excel.

Topped off the beach day with a hearty meal..Forgot about my cholesterol that day.

A new Kwag

Sorry for the misleading title..

People probably thought I had undergone some miraculous change and become some totally respectable new guy..sorry...

The title actually is about the new edition to our family...and heck no its not a new baby....my momma ain't young enough to do that again.....Its a dog..
Since a childhood incident that scarred me against dogs, I didn't really like the presence of dogs...but God heals....and he healed me. I now enjoy most small dogs. Hannah Kang's huge dog is a monster as well as Andy Yang's huge dog! We'll wait and see how much more God can heal me!
We haven't named it yet....we still have to let it be with the mum for 2 weeks and then we can get it. Pretty cute if you ask me. My friend at uni cracked a joke about me eating after it got big and i got the biggest death stares by the girls at uni. I couldn't eat this....NEVER!.... :)

One step closer

Mr Hilton, you'll get to see me very soon!

Maybe..
